Dr. DeSarbo is extensively trained in the treatment of most psychiatric conditions.
Dr. DeSarbo’s practice offers careful evaluation, assessment, and treatment planning is for general psychiatric conditions of teenagers and adults.
Dr. DeSarbo is a psychopharmacologist who can prescribe medication; however, he also practices psychodynamic, existential, and cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness/biofeedback training with patients. Appointment sessions are usually 55 minutes for therapy with or without medication management or 25 minutes for patients under medication management and who have an outside provider for therapy sessions. Dr. DeSarbo is also fully licensed with the NY State Medical Marijuana program and offers genetic testing for hereditary medication selection
Additionally, Dr. DeSarbo has a full staff of licensed therapists and nutritionists located with his offices and available to clients including an on-site biofeedback training suite which can be offered as a part of treatment.
